Opus X Auction

They are good. But not $23.00 ++ good. They can be had for less elsewhere and also less hassle.
 
Just had one last night - I'd say it's about the middle of the Opus pack. Definately not worth that kind of money for one of the smallest of the family.
 
Already DOUBLE retail price. I don't get some people. They can have them for that price...

you can buy 2001 Cohiba Pyramides EL for that price. Slightly better than Opus X...slightly. :laugh:

is that auction 5 for 23, or just one? It says 5? ???
 
If you read it carefully you'll see that there are 5 lots of 1 cigar each up for auction and the bid is $23 per lot of 1 cigar...yep...$23 for a single robusto that even a newbie like me has learned it's gotten a tad overpriced...
 
This is the main reason I gave up on famous.

They no longer sell Opus, AF Hemmingways, or Padron Anniversary cigars. They auction these cigars to skirt around the MSRP.

It is very disappointing that AF & Padron let this happen.

That is really expensive. I would really appreciate it if someone knows where I could some Opus X at a reasonable price and shipped. I live in Canada, but my parents live in California and they will be comming up to see us here in 3 weeks. I wish I could find a place to ship them to my parents before they come here. I have had one Opus a long time ago that was a fake in California and can never find them for a reasonable price and in stock. I have to try one of these. Sorry if I shouldn't be asking this question because people like to keep their contacts to themselves, but I really am excited on trying a couple of Opus Xs.
 
symyn, they used to live in Cathedral City and now they now they just moved to Thousand Palms, I think that's the city.

Opus are not that expensive if you find them at retail. Here is a list of their retail prices.

#4=8.25

#5=7.50

XXX=8.75

Fuente Fuente=9.00

Petite Lancero=9.50

Robusto= 10.50

You are correct I have never had one. However, thanks to the generosity of two BOTL's here and at CS I have two in my humi. I have been waiting for a good time to spark one up. Both are small but look oh so delicious. :)

The small ones are the best ones in my opinion (#4, #5, Petit Corona, and Fuente Fuente). These are the only ones I smoke on a regular basis and try to get more of. Had a PC last night - yummy.

I would guess that Jingles meant to say a PL, Petit Lancero.
