Another first for me... The Onyx Vintage '97.

Not sure of the size but it looks like about a 48X6.

Good construction and perfect draw. The cigar smoked well all the way down, but I wasn't taken by the flavor. About 3/4 way through it started to get a little stronger. I didn't let it go out though :p After all, it is a cigar.

The Vintage 97 Espcionnale was the cigar that introduced me to the idea that all are not created equal. I've since tried the whole line of Vintage, but have discoved numerous better cigars. However at the discounted ~$2 from JR's (by the box), it is a REALLY great value. I have, but have not yet smoked non-Vintage Onyx's. I'm curious how improved the age makes them.

One this is sure - the Reserve and Vintage lines from Onyx are are nothing alike.

Thanks for the review.

Cheers,
Dixie
