CI has 5-packs of the Toro sized RP Vintage 1990 or 1992 for $25.00!

But if you want to just buy a whole box (20 cigars) it's still $157.00!

And the phone rep just confirmed for me that essentially the box itself is going to cost me $57.00, because they won't sell me a box (four five packs) for $100.

But I guess the prices on the five packs are a screaming deal.

I do believe this is commonly referred to as "putting the pimp hand down on the competition"

Come on Payday!!

CI is selling seconds of these for a lot less. I just ordered some robustos. Check it out.

How's that line from the GodFather go?

And a guy I know in NYC sells Louis Vuitton bags for $50, but I don't mind paying more for first quality! But that's because I'm vain!

One of these days I'll have to pick up a bundle of the seconds to compare to the ones I'm about to buy from Ian.

The seconds are fine, I buy three bundles a month. I have come across construction issues that you won't find in the 1sts, though. They say it's a cosmetic only difference, and for the most part I think that's right, but occasionally I see mild burn issues with these that I haven't seen with the 1sts.

I also suspect that Indian Tabac has been doing a little market research with the whole "seconds" strategy. I'm betting they've sold buckets of these seconds and have been working out what their volumes would be at a lower price point.

Thanks for this great deal, Ian.

For the recpord I have smoked both the seconds and a few firsts, and I really can't see why they are seconds. The only problem I had was an incredibly tight draw thanks to CI's overzealous humidification regime.

One they settled in at 65% for a few weeks they smoked fine.

Still Ian's deal is quite good.

Now the trick is trying to find them on Ian's site. PM sent, since I failed. If anyone else sees them feel free to post the link! ???

The children of the members here can blame Ian when they have to go to community college.

They are comming soon. I'll post a link in the next 4-5 days when they arrive. PM me if you would like a box so I can gauge the demand.

Ian this was the thread I was referring to, but I never saw anything from you regarding you receiving these.

I guess a cigar in hand is worth more than a good deal in the bush?
