Really? The lancero was always my favorite in the line. But haven't tried the No.4 yet. Maybe tomorrow.

I thought the lancero was quite different from the rest of the line, too. But I preferred the "other" V blend and was hoping the #4 was closer to that.

Of course, I don't think the lancero is "better" or "worse" than the other vitolas. Just very different.

There are no absolutes when it comes to taste.

I agree that the lancero is completely different from the rest of the Serie V. But, that's usually the case with any cigar line: the lancero and PC (or corona) always have more of the wrapper in the flavor profile. The V robo's, double robo's, figurados are a whole 'nother beast! I tend to prefer the "less invasive" coronas or lanceros.

Look forward to trying these guys...were they not a regular release?

I really liked it. I find it has more flavor than the rest of the vitolas, including the Lancero. Excellent construction and burn. I bought a half a box to keep some on hand. From what I've been told, these were supposed to be a European release. I don't know if they were ever released in Europe or not, but that's where they were originally destined to go.
