OLIVA "O" - MADURO
What's New About Them? The DARK Maduro Wrapper. Just Released!
"O" Cigars are made from pure five year aged tobacco.
The filler, binder AND wrapper are all five year old tobacco.
Producer: Tabacalera Oliva
Cigar: Oliva "O" Maduro - Orion (Torpedo)
Gauge: 54
Length: 7.00
Wrapper: Maduro
Binder: Nicaraguan Habano
Filler: Nicaraguan Habano
Average Price: $6.50-$7.50 per cigar
Features: Blue and Gold Foil Fabric Band Featuring a Large "O",
Oliva Cigar Family, Hand Made
Box: Round Cedar "O" - Looks Like a Toilet Seat! LOL
Wrapper: Maduro! Nice dark wrapper with a great oily sheen.
Construction: Very good! A beautiful torpedo.
Burn: Perfectly straight, with a solid 1" white ash.
Draw: Absolutely perfect.
Smoke Volume: Abundant.
Strength: Medium to Full Bodied. (Medium+ in my opinion.)
Taste: Not overpowering nicotine-wise, but with a complex flavor. This cigar is mellower than the regular "O" line, not so full tilt spicy, and I liked it better in comparison. If you like "Mellow Maduros" you will love this cigar. It is smooth, complex, and yet it has a little kick to it. This is a substantial, well made cigar.
Verdict: One of the best made, smoothest smoking, torpedos that I have come across in years. Is it better than a Montecristo #2 from Cuba? No, but it is better than the majority of maduros/torpedos from the other islands....definitely worth a try. It's a handful.
Rating: Should easily rate 87-90.
