And I've been looking forward to this trip for weeks, and all the shopping possibilities here. I've done so much "study" on the stores in the area, where I want to go, where I don't, and asking advice to either confirm or put to bed the plans I've made.

First stop I planned to make was at an OVTC in Woodbridge. It was just off I-95 and said "Great place to browse, and have a smoke while relaxing waiting for traffic to die off.

Never saw the right exit. Missed it altogether.

Plan "B".

Uncle Mikey's. Next stop, a little out of the way, but looking at the prices and selection at his site, it's well worth it. Found it without too much problem, but there's a sign in the window. What does it say?

"Mr & Mrs Mikey are gone on vacation and will be back June 26th"!!

NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  Shit. I mean, I'm sure they're great people and deserve a vacation, but why now??

So, not far from there is an Outback. I figure, hell with it. Nothing like a honkin' big piece of barely cooked cow to make you feel better. So that's what I did while planning "Plan C". Left there about 7:30 PM

Plan "C".

Replanned my route to include another OVTC on Cary, just off I-195. Found that place pretty easy too. Got out of the car and looked at the place from across the parking lot. Hmmmmmmmm, looks pretty dark!! I walk up and it says "Closed, back at 9:30 tommorrow"!!!

AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :0

Jeezuz, I'm batting 0 fer 3. I'm in (what I consider) a cigar mecca and I can't buy me a decent smoke!!!!

Well, there's always tomorrow. Wish me luck fellers!!!

Newf!!

head down to the slip or the bottom, used to be my old haunt. Check out Sine's (shenays),It an Irish joint I used to go to alot. There is a german pub across the street which is nice.

I'm in Colonial Heights. Our office where I'll be working for the next couple of days is just 5 miles or so up I-95.

at least i see you got the internet going so let's play some poker :)

Hell, those shops are never closed!! Too bad I'm tied up all week or I'd show you a few others. Welcome to the area!

It's ok Newfie, there are more than enough stores in the DC area to compensate for your misadventures in Richmond... :D

sonofabeech newfie..... :(

Well, a nice place to smoke a cigar outside is at Legend Brewing Co. They've got a great deck, great food and their beer is fantastic. Also if ya get a chance, check out Havana59 down at the Farmer's Market downtown. Supposed to be great food and a nice place to enjoy a cigar. ;)

Hey that's where I bought my 2003 Anniversary Sportster. Looking at selling it and getting something a little bigger.

Damn, that's some bad luck man. Colonial Heights eh? Spent many a day there when stationed at Ft. Lee.

Yea I agree with CC i forgot about Legends its a great place, But I think Havaa59 is still closed from the flood. At least it was three weeks ago.
