Well, the little 50 cigar craftsmans bench humidor that's served me so well over the past year has reached capacity! I'm looking at buying a new one and can't decide which to get. I've had my heart set on a Daniel Marshall for years, it seems that their quality can't be beat. I emailed them yesterday and they have the Ambiente in the zebrawood finish (scored a B+ in Cigar Afficianados ratings) as a "second" for $275.
Ambiente
Here's the kicker, if you order two, the second one is only $150, so that brings the per unit price down to $212! My only concern is that with the two boxes of cigars I just purchased, I'll be at about 85 cigars already, and this one holds between 100 and 125. The other option is the Versaille: Versaille
This humi holds 300, and some folks on this forum have said nice things about it, but you do get what you pay for and there's no way this one is going to perform like a DM.
So the question becomes:
Do I buy the DM and limit my cigar buying a bit, or do I buy the Versaille and have room to "grow my collection", but put up with the extra maintenance?

What would you do?

Are they offering the 125 or the 165 for that price? But to answer your question I would go with the DM.

I say this because I have a DM humidor, and a generic 125/150 cigar humidor, and the DM holds humidty like nobodys business. The other one I always have to check and work to keep it within range the DM sticks at 67% with almost no work.

Thanks,

- K

Ashton Humidors try these guys out their line of savoy humis is wonderful, their large humi holds like 150
and is around 200-250 dollars.

edit: they say they hold 150 cigars, but if you take out the tray the x-large will hold like 250.

Welcome to CP. You'll need a cabinet or cooler soon enough, so bite the bullet now and do it.

Have 1 nice humidor for holding your cigars that you want to smoke in the near future. Then just suck it up and build a cooler-dor.

I have to agree with Jim... I thought a 125ct Humi along with my 100ct. Humi would be plenty enough... Now I am buying a cabinet 3 months later. Think big if you really enjoy this. :)
