So I go into work yesterday and look in my inbox in the squad room and there is a sealed envelope in there. Usually that means you've done something wrong and you have to go to the Chiefs office for an ass reaming. So I cautiously open it and read the letter inside... I just got promoted to the Detective Bureau (from a lowly beat cop). I was stoked!! Seven years of 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and I've finally gotten somewhere. Just thought I'd share that with my you all.
