Well, after a couple of recent attacks by board members my desktop is bursting at the seams. I went out for lunch today on the quest to find the perfect iced coffee cup and came back with this... :D

Igloo Ice Cube 60QT

I knew I would need one soon, my basement won't keep a perfect temp/Rh for much longer. Although, I don't remember those ugly cup holders adorning the side. I know it's smaller than most of you would have suggested, but I think it will fit my needs well. I could have done w/o the rollers, but they didn't have one sans wheels. It's the redesigned 60QT. size. The day I can fill this with boxes is the same day I decide what Aristocrat humi I would like. ;) Time to read up on getting rid of the plastic smell and ordering a 1/2lb. of beads from Viper. Thanks to all who have lead me to this point.

edit: spelling

<edit> Give it time!!!

Hmmm..

Still looks too small.

Now your coolidor will be bursting at the seams..LOL!!

Congrats on your purchase. Now don't be a newbler, those are an ashtray holder and cigar accessory cup. ;)

....quit 'cher whining. Now, when you have THREE of them in the closet you can complain...a little....

Some guys use a little diluted bleach on the inside of their coolers. I wouldn't get chlorene anywhere close to any of my coolers. All I did was rinse them out with VERY hot water, and left them open outside to air out. Seemed to work just great.

Have fun - B.B.S.

Thanks, I'll give it a try before using bleach. I thought it was a little odd when my father installed a hot water hook-up on the outside of his house. Finally, a chance to use it!

Pops: "Watcha doing son?"
Me: "Oh, just blasting this cooler with your hot water. I'm going to put cigars in it."
Pops: *Slowly backing in to the house* "Carry on then."

I wiped my coolerdor down with white vinegar and then let it air dry. Worked liked a champ!

BTW you should have gotten the 150 quart
igloo_maxcold_cooler_150qt_13022_s12.jpg

or the 195 quart marine cooler

Your little cube will fill up in no time!

Wow,

That is the ultimate herf-cooler. Cupholder and ashtray holder included!

The square coolers are pretty nice but I find the interior space a bit tough to pack. Generally, I prefer the rectangular coolers.

Right now, you can find a Coleman widebody 50-Qt for $18 on sale. I like the wider than normal dimension (front to back) because it allows you to store larger cigars like churchills and double coronas efficiently. I don't have room for the big 150-Qt units but this isn't a problem with those I imagine.

Wilkey

Edit to add this link. I like the Coleman units and you can often find them on special in sporting goods stores and supermarkets.

Coleman Chest Coolers, good value for the $$$

Grats on the cooler bro, that'll last you a good few weeks before having to get a bigger one :)

I wasn't able to get over to the outdoor hot water hook up and went the white vinegar route. It worked just as well as advertised. Anyone digging up cooler threads in the future, try vinegar.

edit to say: I recieved e-mail confirmation from Viper, he turned around my bead order on the same day it was placed. Now that's service!

Glad it worked out for you!
