He's a fellow who's hitting cigar sites and then taking a look at 'FACEBOOK RECOMMENDATIONS' to add friends!

I asked him is his 'friend request' was unsolicted and he said 'yes'.

I thanked him and said I would look at his site because at first glance it appeared well done.

I did NOT add him as a FBF.

No...I'm not bashing at all...I'm am just informing.
Nic was polite in his PM's.

I would recommend 2 things to him:

1) If you are 'cold calling' add a NOTE not just a friend request - but the fact people don't always check who's who may be what you're banking on.
2) Set up a 'fan' link or some such thing...I'd be more likely to become one...if the site is worth it.

Us old guys love Facebook. We can catch up with our buddies from High School and/or post pictures of our Grandkids as if I had any but I would if I had grandkids. Hell I would probably take a picture of the Grandbaby's first poop and post that!
 
I don't refuse invitations. I do block them from posting on my wall or my homepage.
 
Just a bump since I've gotten two requests from this guy over the last couple of days.

Your PM jogged my memory... I received an email from Nic Wing about 2-3 years ago, asking if he could solicit on CigarPass. I declined his request, and simply stated that CP is not the place for him to promote his CD's.

Nice to see he decided to ignore my wishes. Nic has been banned.

EDIT: I guess he never signed up here. Looks like I've been seeing his name all over FB.
 
I recently deleted everyone I had accepted as a friend that I don't personally know or interact with in some way online, Nic included. The countless number of invites he sent me to events in other parts of the country were ridiculous. I got sick of people I didn't even know sending me friend requests and put an end to it! :D
 
Gary, thanks for posting this. He popped up on my FB acct as well. I did not add him either. If you're going to try adding someone on FB, please at least give a hint as to who you are. For me, it comes down to how a person uses FB. I've got pictures of my kids on there and am not just going to add someone because they are on CP. If we've actually met, different story. Maybe. :)
