Well here is my project I was talking about in the last contest!
This is what it looked like when I started!
Cigars003.jpg

Just the top part lined with cedar.

Now I am letting it settle down and see how it holds at 68%, pretty good so far!

Not sure if I like the glass? Need to see how the seal is first! If it doesn't hold the glass is out!

That looks really nice  have any bigger pictures?

Yeh but I didn't want them to be over the allowed size!

Looks great Dean, can't wait to see it fully stocked :)

Very nice!

What have you sealed the door with? I used a combination of foam weather stripping and sponge weather stripping which worked great.

As for the glass, I'd keep it if you can. Get some clear silicone and seal the glass window if it isn't already.

That is some great work, wish I could work with wood and put together something like that.

Excellent job!

That is the perfect type cabinet, hell that would match up well with the furnature in my house. Definately let us know how she works out.

I have been keeping my eyes open for a larger humi, been eying a glass front cabinet I have sitting in my shop but was not sure how well it would hold the RH. Guess I won't know until I test it.

That is one classy looking set up.

See ya
Mike

Very nice Dean. Did you build that from scratch or, did you convert an existing piece of furniture?
I never read your last post on this project.

Yes I did the above except the silicon for the glass window. That was the only part I was worried about! It seems to be holding great. Looks like I have something to do today!

Just converted a piece of furniture. I pretty much did exactly what Mark Twain did.

:D

Is the lining spanish cedar or lauan?
1/4",3/8"???

Nicely done!

Way to go, that is some nice wood work you have done. Cant wait to see it stocked. Thats kickass, cant wait until I have time to tackle a project like that. I will be sure to get your input
