I'm just looking for a little clarification on a few things. I want to make sure I'm a good Passer.

(1) value/quality- Who's value? Are we talking price here, and if so who's price?

Example: Someone could pay the fair price for an Opus X $9-$15 or an Infalted price $20-$30. Does this change value or is an Opus an Opus?( does price have anything to do with value/quality??)

(2) If I'm unfamiliar with a particular smoke and it's value/quality, how should I handle that. (post and ask???)

I'm pretty sure I know the answers here, but Being new I would rather not assume an answer, so I'll just ask.

:)

IMO, MSRP is a very good barometer to use for placing value on a smoke. There was some discussion on another thread about cost being different in different parts of the country but my take has always been that even though your puts may have cost you more than others it would stand to reason that your takes would have more value also..... regardless of what was actually paid for them. There could be some value added to hard to find cigars but whats hard to find for you might be easy to find for others.

I try to use a "no question about it" reasoning for my puts and takes. It has yet to fail me...

Point of clarification... What about a 2 for 1 deal. What if there are 2 cigars I want to take with a MSRP of $5 and the one I want to put has a MSRP $12-13 range. Is this ok or a no no? Just want to make sure I do no wrong.

It's better to err on the side of caution and bomb the heck out of the pass administrator even if you only take one cigar. :)
