Hi All,
Just wanted to introduce myself as the seasoned vets seem to recommend. First, let me say thanks to my good poker buddy Stevehawk for recommending this site and teaching me more about sticks. Thanks bud!
I live in Boise, Idaho. I am married to a wonderful, georgeous 6'1" red-head named Jenn. I also have a beautiful 7 yr old daughter who's finger I am admittedly wrapped very tightly around. Neither of whom appreciate my hobby much, but what can you do?
My first smoke was about 18 or so. I didn't really realize what I was getting into at that time-mainly due to my age. When I got older I began to realize the value of time spent with a good cigar, a good spirit, and a good friend. Lately, I have discovered I enjoy a good smoke with just me and my thoughts as well. More often than not these days, I have a smoke while building something in my garage, playing a round of golf, and especially on my beloved poker nights.
I have no problem admitting I know little about cigars in the grand scheme of things. I can stand in the humidor of my favorite stick store and just drool for what seems like hours. I pick up a few, put some back, grab some more, change my mind, smell another one . . you get the idea. I do know I prefer a mild taste (less spice), and a med to full smoke. I have yet to meet a Macanudo I didn't like. I also like most Aurturo's. I really don't have a favorite, I just like to try new cigars and sample ones I haven't tried or that friends recommend.
So thats me in a nut shell. I am willing to learn anything anyone can offer. I have an interest in someday building myself a custom humidor, just haven't tackled that one yet. So any advice on those would be good to. Thanks to those who have mentioned the Newbie Trade in other postings. I will make sure to get into that now that I have made my first posting.
Thanks for reading . .
and Steve-o, I look forward to taking cigars from you at this poker table too!!
