A clean pale yellow or honey like appearance with an almost white head that held a bit longer than some of the other beers I reviewed. The Double IPA had a crisp and clean taste but was a lot more bitter than anything else I have tasted so far. The taste was however light and clean in my mouth not chuncky and/or heavy like the Imperial Stouts I tried. It also had a very sharp after taste that lingered for a few seconds. The interesting thing about this beer was undertone of cirtrus in each sip. I would characterize it as probably more gratefruit rather than orange. An interesting style of beer but not sure its my preference. I would like to try others before writing it off.

Another great review bro! The citrus flavors come from hops, which are a bit of an aquired taste. I'm still not a hophead by any means, but I'm coming to appreciate them more and more all the time. You need to try some Nugget Nectar when it's released for an extremely balanced, yet very hoppy beer.

Oh my...January 1st and already a mention of the sweet Nectar! Word is that the first batches are already in the tanks. We should be seeing bottles by the end of the month!

How would one know the Nugget Nectar is released and how do you get it?

Mike (phlicker) would be the one to ask.

When it hits the shelves I'll let you know. Maybe we'll take a trip over to the Beer Yard and pick some up.

I can almost taste it now...
