first off i would like to say hello!!! iv been smoking cigars with my uncles for a few years now and i decided its about time for me to buy my own box and start up the hobbie myself. i dont have a lot of $$$$ and i would like to keep as much as i can to spend on the cigars themselves so i decided to start making a tuper-dor. i got some cigar boxes for ceder to line it with, got myself a hygrometer and salt tested it and now all i need is a humidification device.... i think. my question is what is the easiest type of humidification. i was looking at the pucks and they seem pretty decent but idk....im a newb!!! ha thanks for the help! also if ya wanna give me some tips on seasoning or anything else i may have forgot it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Try this.....

Also, you should head over to the Intro thread and give us a little info about yourself. You could also fill out some of your profile. Other than that have fun around here.

Follow the link that Lurch provided. Beads are the best way to go. Actually, the puck has beads in it... so I guess it's all really the same and which one you feel most comfortable with.

As Lurch pointed out... go on over to the "Introduce yourself" thread and say "HI" to the community.

Lots of helpful folks around here...

Beads are definitely the way to go, and heartfelt is the place to get them pre-conditioned freakin' FAST!

If you're really tight on cash I've heard that beads are used for kitty litter, and can be gotten much cheaper. Of course, then you have to condition them for a few weeks before use (to force them to a specific RH)
Buying a bulk bag of litter might save you cash if you've got the time to condition them, as to where to get this litter I'm hoping some of my brothers here can assist with that.

Also, whatever you use, make sure to use distilled water with beads, it makes a big difference in the long term.
