New Season of The Contender on ESPN

Has anyone seen the commercial for the new season of The Contender on ESPN? I really liked that show and it showed off alot of good boxing talent around the country. I was dissapointed when they cancelled it, probably because it had a crappy time slot. Anyways, it's back on ESPN starting in July...in case there were any fans out there. :D
 
I LOVED that show. I have a feeling though, it won't be as good being produced on ESPN. Hopefully I will be proven wrong! One thing they have GOT to do is get legitimate judges. The rematch fights a few months ago were absolutely ridiculous in the way they were scored by the judges.
 
That's true. I hope it doesn't become a popularity vote like American Idol or something where the producers determine who should win and/or lose based on ratings. I am not sure if Stallone is going to be working with this or not...the commericals I've seen only show Sugar Ray...I suppose we'll see soon.
 
I don't think Stallone is working on this one. I've heard that they're going to focus more on the boxing (which would make sense since it's going to be on ESPN). However, the stories are in my opinion what made the show and fights so intriguing. Hopefully they won't lose too much of that. As for the judges, because it's going to be on ESPN, I doubt they will want to risk losing credibility so I'm sure the judges will be chosen with MUCH more care so they don't repeat some of the crap that happened in the last fights.
