My buddy brought back a bunch of samples that he needed to evaluate for another buddy of ours. We got together Thursday night so I could help him sample a few sticks and give him my opinions. Here's what I tried so far....
Caravallo - 100% Brazillian cigar, very well rolled, nice dark wrapper, it was packed with tobacco but had a good draw, mild/med in strength, earthy cigar and overall not a bad smoke.
CAO MX2 Corona size - a CAO cigar with a maduro wrapper and binder. I belive that this was a new size. Beautiful roll and excellent construction, mild/med in strength, very bitter flavors and a nasty aftertaste, overall it looked great but tasted like a dog rocket!
Carlos Torano Casa Torano Torpedo - a new addition to the Torano line. Beautiful torpedo, excellent construction, appeared to have a conn shade wrapper, mild in strength, nice spice and straight forward tobacco flavors, perfect morning cigar, worth trying IMO.
Lone Wolf Fuerte (Blue Label) - these aren't the same Lone Wolfs that were owned by Chuck Norris and Jim Belushi. Decent in appearance, pretty good construction, sloppy cap, dark wrapper, medium in strength, decent flavor, worth trying if it's in the $3 range.
Lone Wolf Brown/Gold Label - DOG ROCKET! Don't even think about it... LOL!
He still has more we wants me to help him with but after those 5 I had enough for the night.... LOL! Just to clarify... I only smoked 1 1/2" to 2" on each cigar before flung them, cleared my palate with some snacks and tried the next one. After I was done with the 5 I really needed to clear my palate... a Cohiba Exquisito and some Diet Coke did the trick!
Aloha,
Wade
