I think they send you that burley because it's the perfect one.

Ive always wanted a boswell, but as you can tell, ive never even tried the tobacco. SOOOOOO maybe ill join you on april 15th :D

I think they change the free tobacco every month or so. I guess it depends on what you like. It is always nice to dedicate a certain type of tobacco (aromatic, burly, english etc.) to a pipe if you have enough pipes to do that with. I have a pipe that I only smoke aromatics and Boswell burly out of and it taste and smells really sweet, I would hate to foul it up with some English blend, and vice versa with my pipes dedicated to English blends, sweet tastes and smoky strong English tobacco don't really mix for me.

From what I understand, Boswell pipes don't require a break in period. The bowl is treated with a coating so it's not necessary. Unfortunately I don't know this first hand. Yet.

What he said.

You don't really have to break in a Boswell. They're ready to go as soon as you get them. I would go gentle at first, though. Don't let the pipe get too hot.

Basically, whatever Boswell tobacco you enjoy is what I would recommend. If you're going to smoke aromatics in it, start out with an aromatic. If you're going to smoke english blends I would suggest their True English. If you're not sure, try the burley as it's fairly neutral and won't leave a stubborn ghost.

Good luck on the update. Those pipes go fast. :)
