New humidor

The 50/50 solution would be good to treat the credo the first time you soak it but distilled water will work just fine.

There are a few ways to get your humi up and running and the one I use is......Load the credo with distilled water following the instuction that came with it and then I set a bowl of distilled water in the bottom of the humi and check it every couple of days until you hit 70%. Then your ready to load. You may also want to check your hygrometer by mixing a tablespoon of table salt with a tablespoon of distilled water in a small bowl. Set the hygrometer and the small bowl in a zip loc bag for about 12 hours and it shoul read 75%...if not make the adjustment on the back of your hygrometer. Make sure not to get the salt mixture on your hygrometer.

You can also do a little research the The Humidor forum for more info.

Also stop by The Lobby and give yourself an intro to the guys and don't skipp out on fill out your profile.

Welcome Aboard.

Peace,

Looks good man! I use 50/50 for the first couple of times and then distilled water after that

Hello all,

I just ordered a sample pack of cigars from cigarbid.com. The cigars have some imperfections which I knew about before buying, all in all they look ok. I was just wondering what you guys think about the brands? Which are good cigars, which do I give to my friends :) I'll go ahead and list 'em.

Joya Del Jefe 1890 - Centennial Reserve
Roly Puros - Rolando Reyes Jr.
Oxford Series - V Centennial
Makers Mark Seasoned
Oro Cubano - Aniversaria
1876 - Key West
Sacuba
Rolando Reyes Jr. - Long filler bundle
Cuipido
Don Rafael by Victor Sinclair

Any comments are appreciated.

BTW - I paid $17 for all of 'em.

If you keep coming here and going to Cbid, you'll probably need many of those. :D

Makers Mark makes a good cigar. Just a little strong smellin' in my book.

Just buy 2 gallons of distilled water from Wal Mart for $.89, probably cheaper, but I don't remember now.

I got the humidor up and running. I didnt have to leave the cup of water inside for long, the meter read 75% about an hour after I put it in.

Ooh, Cigarbid bad for cc.

Sometimes they put Padron 1926s
on the block. Must resist urge to check.
Resist.

Resist.

Resistance is futile.

Just checked two samplers way over bid.

what sampler do you recommend for a new cigar smoker? Cigars International has a lot but I'm not really sure where to start.
