Hi Everyone - I'm new to the site and have a few questions. I recently purchased a Lucky 7 humidor (~200 ct) and am researching the best way to season it. I've read the overview posted on this website, but have reviewed other approaches elsewhere.
Has anyone tried seasoning with the Boveda 84% RH Seasoning packs? For a humidor this size, it is recommended that I use 6-7 packs at 84% RH to season. Sounds like an easy way to do it, but I'd like your feedback if this is a bad move.
Additionally, I purchased a La Veil DCH-210 humidifier for my unit. I've read many good reviews and it appears it is a good fit for this size humidor. It has a rechargable battery, which is great. The product spec sheet, however, states that for humidors larger than 100 ct you should use a power source rather than rely on battery power. Two questions...1) are they referring to the number of cigars you store, or the volume/size of the humidor itself? (i.e. if I store 100 cigars, is it okay?), 2) does anyone have experience with this type of humidifier?
Thanks very much. Looking forward to posting some insightful messages soon, rather than the rookie questions.
