Hey guys. I've been having problems with not enough room in the old humi's for a while now and finally broke down and got a new one. I'm going to give my small one, the first I ever bought, to my brother to use as his first humidor. The new one will be much larger so there should be plenty of elbow room for a little while at least. Here's a pic if it'll link.

I was thinking about starting my first pass to celebrate. I'm a little unsure though with so many others in progress at the moment. If anybody is interested or conversly would like to make a case for waiting (oh I hate waiting though ) please speak right up. If we do get a group together I'm sure I can come up with a nice little assortment for the pass. All the usual rules will apply, I can post em if need be. I'd like FOG's or at least 100 posts I think, less with good refernces only.

Let me know if you guys want to.

I got references baby! I'm in if you'll have me. I just can't say no to a pass. :)

I've got references too :D

I'm in if you'll have me.

Just put me before Stack in the rotation. He always gets to go first :( :sign:

Cheers,
Dixie

:) I'd like in on this one if I may? I have that exact box and I love it!

Just a tip: Make sure ALL the dust is off every surface before you apply the magnets and plates in their respective locations. Otherwise, like me, you'll be looking for industrial strength double-sided tape; those big credos weigh a ton when damp!

Thanks for the tip psyktek.

Your all in! YOUR ALL IN !!!

Sorry, I've been over at operation overkill and I'm still shouting like I'm in formation.

Looks like this might be a go. So many so quickly. Very cool.

oh man, i can't believe i forgot to check open passes
all day. the mass bombing had me mesmerized! :p
still got room for me?

A small tip guy's! Use the industrial Velcro! But put it in before you season the humidor! or it will not stick well! The Velcro makes it easy to remove the humidifier to fill.... Or get yourself a 1/2 pound of CLIMMAX beads or one of Vern's humidifiers for that big baby! you will not regret it!!

Oh yea! I'm in!!! If you will have me :( :p

2 things:

1. what is 'Vern's humidifier'?

2. Don't know what your rotation will look like, but don't put me first if this is going out soon. As I've posted (frequently) lately, I'll be out of town from 9/6 to 9/13.

Hey, if anyone's been to JR's store in Selma NC, am I going to be overwhelmed? I mean, should I carry a couple of ISOMs with me to keep from overdoing? You know, like not going grocery shopping when you're hungry? :D

1. One word! Climaxx.com

2. Never been to selma, but I have been to Burlington and Statesville! You better decide on a set dollar amount you are going to spend before going it. Take only that amount of "CASH" Do not take a credit card. You have been warned.

I'll play if you'll have me. I'm pretty new but I've made a few trades and just participated in my first pass. And may I say that new humi is a beauty! What's it supposed to hold, about 300 sticks?

Take SD's words as widom there psyktek, if not, you'll go crazy..... :p

Second thing is that if you'll let me, I'll be a part of your pass there Steve. Just remember, I'm gettin' married this month, so put me towards the end of the pass. We're gettin' back here to Florida late on the 24th, so any time after that would be great.

Last thing, Climaxx.com

:D

I forgot to mention I'll be out of town 9/14 - 9/18 so keep that in mind if I'm to be included.

This is looking pretty good so far. LuckyDawg, lucasbuck, your both in. Joe M., sorry man but do you have some references perhaps?? :sign:

Oh Ok, YOUR ALL IN !!! Welcome aboard everybody. Looks like about 8 of us so far including myself. I wouldn't mind this being a longer pass so I'll keep it open and see if 2 or 3 or 4 more want in. Perhaps I could prepare it all this weekend.

No problem psyktek, I'll be sure and put down at the end some place. No problem at all.

Yea, I use the Climmax beads. It's all about the climmax baby. I never did do the math to try and figure out what the proper amount was for my hummies. I had 3 so I just gave each of them 1/3 of a pound and called it good. It also worked out just right on the dishes. I got a package of Crisco shortening sticks and used the plastic stick containers as my dishes. It worked out just right, three sticks, three hummies, and they just happened to hold right at 1/3 of a pound of beads each.

I really like his Premier humidifiers just from the pictures. Id like to pick up a couple and try them. Yea, the Hummi on the way says its a 300. I should count the sticks in my current 300 and see how many are actually in there. The regular sized Premiers say they will do 75 sticks each and that just doesn't sound like enough. On top of that the Premeir regulars are $40 each so that may wait a little while anyway.

Oh I know how fast they fill. Did I mention Cigar Bid IS the Devil?? I have an old full size fridge in the basement I've been threatening to turn into a fridgidor for some time now. All that room for smokes has me very afraid though. I actually figured that it would be cheaper to buy a nice new huge hummi that I know will fill up at some point rather then provide myself with a big vast cigar holdin black hole that I'm not as sure will ever fill up in a reasonable amount of time or dollars. :D Thats my logic and I'm stickin to it. :D :D

Can't wait to see who else strolls in to play.

Stogieman, glad to have you. Couldn't have a pass without you. You went and snuck in and posted while I was rambling on making my last post.

No problem on the date for you Charlie or you either lucasbuck. All these people out of town this month, is anyone staying in town?? Besides me ofcourse. :D

And the lineup just keeps getting better and better.

I've been to all three in NC. I think the Burlington is the best. ...and to answer your question, yes. There is no way not to be overwhelmed! :0

Dixie

If you need references for me my Mom said she would write you a note! :p

When they list it as a 300 count humidor they are referring to corona sized cigars ??? So don't be shocked!

Also go down to wallgreens and get a "single" silverware tray {9x2x2 I think} It will hold 1/2lb of beads, should do ya good!

Thanks for the reinforcement dixie! I hope the Selma store is decent, no way my wife's going to agree to the >200 miles to Burlington, I already owe her for the 200 to Selma. :(
