Hey everyone..

I joined CP when i was a freshmen in college... i'm now in the last part of my Junior year so obviously its been a while since i was on here..

I've had quite a few things happen in my life right after i joined... most of which were very difficult to deal with but at the same time have made me a stronger and better person in the long run. The only unfortunate effect of all the issues I've had in my life recently are that i'm working 32 hours a week and going to school full time (i take 20 credits per term... Drexel university has 4 terms per year, 10 weeks of class one week of finals and one week of vacation). Because of the amount of stress in my life, and because of how busy i am with work and school i have very little time to relax.

last week i decided that it was time to get back to smoking some cigars and being able to relax, so what did i do?

i bought a new humidor to get me started lol...

here is what i got:
http://www.cheaphumidors.com/p_imperfect-humidors_HUM-OLDWORLD-IMP.html

i'm in the process of seasoning it right now (i've got one of those seasoning packets inside, along with a full humidifier using PG 50/50)

i plan on leaving it closed for at least one week, but i've also been reading that i should upgrade to a digital hygrometer and beads instead of using the green foam floral.

any suggestions on hygrometers and bead systems? I was thinking about getting these:

let me know what you guys think, and post up any suggestions you have as far as smokes go (my current favorite are the CAO gold's)

thanks everyone, hopefully you all had a chance to enjoy some warm weather these past few days!

what has been your experience thus far with cheaphumidors.com? Ive always been afraid to buy from them, but if you have good things to say I may reconsider and throw them some business in the future.

in any event, congrats on the new humi, enjoy, and welcome back to cigars

I've ordered from cheap humidor twice... both time the package came very quickly. Pricing was great as well. My only issue was that they forgot to put my hygrometer in the package the first time so i called and they shipped me one without any issues. Both humidors were as advertised, and they both sealed well too. I have no complaints about them.

Congrats on getting back into cigars.

As for the hygrometers, I have both that you have linked in your OP. They both work very well for me, I have had no issues with either. For beads, most people (including me) use Heartfelt Beads, they are very good quality and just use distilled water to keep them conditioned.
