New Cigar Box Purchases

I am receiving my first cigar box purchase on Tuesday. By that time, it will have been in transit for at least 5 days. I'm just curious what the best way is to properly store them.

For example, do you guys just throw the box into your coolidor with the lid closed? Or do you leave it open to help let the humidity get to them faster, in case they got a little dried out during the transport?

I take the plastic shrink wrap off the box and just toss it in bro.

I bet there is a few threads on this subject to be found using the search feature of the board.

I crack open the box, check out the sticks, then place in the humi.

Here, here. Gotta check those babies out for mold/other damage. They shouldn't really be dried out, so I wouldn't worry about that.
