Hello Folks,
Some of you may have already read this on other forums but as of January the Behike line went up another 21%. Below is a pic of the new prices and folks these are prices per cigar. Im left speechless. Take care folks and enjoy your Cubans (sticks of pure gold) in good health.

Behike BHK 52 — €230 ($238.20)
Behike BHK 54 — €290 ($300.35)
Behike BHK 56 — €320 ($331.40)

I bet in another 2-3 years they will be close to $400 per stick if this price hike continues. Could get a box of 10 Behike 52 back in 2013 for about $225 if memory is correct. Ahhh to have a time machine and go back for a day to purchase Cuban cigars. Take care.

Smart a$$ reply aside, you've got to wonder how this can be sustainable. I guess there's enough 'baller' demand that they'll sell every one they can put together. Completely takes them out of the realm where a working guy can splurge on one, once in a while.

....the good old days of Monte #2's for ~$230.00, even CoRo's for ~$425.00. Let alone all the other faves we know and have enjoyed. I'm fortunate, I have a cabinet and have put a few boxes away over the last decade or so. To sell or smoke.....ugh.

But, my guess is it takes them out of the humidor of many folks that know and really like cigars, leaving them for rich guys that may or may not know what they've got. If they can charge anything they want and sell every one....well, good for them but long term, I don't see how it works out. Who knows. One man's opinion....

I seen my name 👀

Since that Hong-Kong company (Allied Cigar Company) bought half of Habanos S.A in 2020 things have completely changed 180 degrees. That company is owned by a fellow named Chen Zhi, who now basically owns half of Cubas entire cigar production. Thats amazing in and of itself. Imagine being so rich you could go to the cigar factories and pick out any number of boxes of cigars you wish including the limited editions and gran reserva cigars and there is probably nothing anyone can say. I would bet that a lot of Cohibas fermented and aged tobacco is sent to China or other Asian area and rolled for high end buyers by their own roller... Crazy times in the Cuban cigar world!

So hypothetically speaking what would an 05/2010 OR box of 54s be worth?

I think supply and demand still works in the crazy world we live in today so you have to ask, are these cigars catering simply to the millionaires now or is there a chance the prices could come down?

Wonder if those in charge at Habanos S.A know what a "Boom" and a "Bust" are? Because I am starting to wonder.......when that bust comes, it could spell the end of Cuban cigars.

I don't think that will happen because the Cuban cigar market goes from the guy who has no clue, but will buy it because it's Cuban,
to the guy who smokes $500 cigars because he can ...... and everything in between.

If a bust starts, there are enough of us who will buy them by the truck load.

I’m just glad they once were affordable. I bought what I thought at the time was way too many boxes of all three vitolas in 2012 when one of my favorite vendors had a ridiculous sale. They were major overstocked and couldn’t move them fast enough back then if you can believe it.

Business expenses?

In my opinion, that by itself would keep the prices at a ridiculous level. Even a “bust” that resulted in a 25%(?) price slash would keep the sticks out of the hands of the common man.

I’ve also pondered what would happen to pricing if by some fluke the US embargo was lifted. I think, that like turning on a light switch, the demand would skyrocket. And with a huge increase in demand, the already depleted supply would be much worse. Those two things equal another massive increase in price. I don’t think that the poor construction, sub-par crops, and the whole quantity over quality business plan would keep US smokers away at any price. Many people would pony up the dough just to say that they’re smoking a qban.
