My litlle three year old girl had been sick the last few days with what we thought was a cold. My wife calls me at work yesterday to tell me that her respirations were too low and that she was scared. Of course I think she always over reacts.
Turns out she has Pnuemonia and was admitted last night ( never second guess a mother/nurse). I had to come home to see to the other children, and I guess I was still in denial about seriousness. I just got a call from my wife in tears while getting ready to go back after I see the kids off to school.
Seems that her lungs are worse than last night (with fluid) and her pulse ox is really low.................Waiting for the doctor to see if she needs to be flown somewhere else.

See you tonight with good news hopefully

Oh man, I hope everything works out bud.

I don't have kids yet but I can imagine nothing can be more frightening. Best wishes to you and your family. Let us know if your girl is okay when you can.

Ron

Prayers are being sent as I type. Don't settle for anything but the very best care.

Sorry to hear this John. We had a scare with my son about a month ago, so I know how terrifying this must be for you. Hope everything turns out OK and you and your family will be in my thoughts.

John, from my heart, prayers are being sent.

Tim

Prayers send, John

It always hard when one of your kids gets really sick.
Hang in there, children are pretty resilient.

My thoughts are with your daughter, you and your family John.

Kids are resilient and strong, hang in there.

Brian

I'm so sorry to hear this. My thoughts are with you and your family. Stay strong...

Both of my boys have been hospitalized as newborns. There really is no more helpless feeling. Hang in there John.

Prayers will be said for your daughter and family, i've been there brother, not knowing what will happen is the hardest thing to get by. Be strong and stay positive.

My thoughts and prayers.
I have small children and
I know what you guys are
going through.

Don't forget to take care of
yourself also. Sometimes
during trying times we
tend to neglect oneself
for others. Stay healthy
and take care of your family.

Jack

John,

Sending you and your family all the best.

From one father of young girls to another, hang in there, listen to what your doctors say, but never be afraid to ask questions.

The last time Miranda inadvertently ate some ice cream with peanuts in it, 20 minutes later she started to swell and develop hives all over her body. I raced her to the clinic for epinephrine and Benadryl shots and within 30 minutes, she was pulling out of it. The whole time when she was ill, I've never felt so focused...and helpless.

God willing, all will turn out alright.

Sincerely,
Wilkey
