Short and sweet review.

Construction: Very nice. Smooth wrapper with good EMS color, no soft spots. Good weight in the hand. Has a triple cap which makes sense, as these are marketed as "...the cigars that rollers would smoke in the factories."

Draw: Fairly light, but not so much like you feel you're sucking an empty soda straw.

Pre-light: Rich, semi-coffee and chocolatey flavor. No vegetal taste.

Burn, ash and smoke: Dead straight, medium gray and solid, tons of smoke.

Flavor and finish: the coffee and chocolate didn't materialize. Woody/cedary in the first inch, then a straightforward tobacco flavor. Nothing particularly complex. Became a little bitter in the last 2 inches. Looooonnng finish, quite nice, a little spiciness comes through. Not a real creamy smoke, but not sharp or astringent.

Overall: A very nice, mild to medium stick, one that you don't have to pay a lot of attention to to enjoy. Would be a good stick to introduce someone to cigars.

I'd give it a B+, mostly due to its simplicity. I bought a sampler, so if any of the other sizes are different, I'll post again.

I think you nailed this one pretty good. Not an outstanding smoke, but not really run of the mill, either. Nice for when you want something with good taste that won't sneak up on ya.

Anybody had one of the recent rolls of these? Wondering how they compare to the ORs.
Very goo queestion. I know they are in bundles instead of a box. IMO, Pepin sometimes has difficulty maintaining the profiles on all these numerous "house blends". The 5 Vegas and even the regular lines have varied quite a bit since OR.

Great review, brother! Thanks.
