So, wanting something nice and special today (and probably tomorrow) I grabbed a super premium, a variation of one of my all-time favorite cigars: The Padilla (pepin made) 1932 Oscuro Limitada Torpedo. Well, it burnt like SHIT! Literally, one of the worst burns ever! At one point it went even beyond a 45 degree burn down the stick?! But that got me thinking, here and there people tell you you should rotate your sticks. This stick has been chillin' in my special cigars section at the bottom of the humidor for years now. Could not having been rotated for years have in any ways caused this? Or did I just get a dud roll with the ligero all to one side?

I think you got a dud, but it's not uncommon. I bought a few of these out of the humidor they came in at tobacco road in arlington, tx with the DFW crew. I had issues as well.

Over-priced and over-hyped. Not to mention....this was when Padilla was at the top of his game.

when i get a funny burn i simply adjust with the lighter. i find that most burn issues result from how I initially light the cigar. Of course, being a handmade product, not all cigars will be perfect.

Dang, talk about a lurker! Welcome to CP, don't forget to introduce yourself and fill out your profile!

I agree with the "dud". Handmade products are bound to have issues here and there.

With a lighter?! Shoot! Boy I just got told! Good thing he spoke up finally! (just joshin' ya man).

Vortex, I'm assuming your addy is on profile? I have two more left, please hold your breath while waiting for them to arrive :)
