This auction had a travel humidor and what I thought was a decent sampling of cigars so I pulled the trigger.

I am trying to justify the price to the wife (especially after dropping $300 on some Isom's for a non-U.S. citizen outside of the country :whistling: )

What do you think?

Thanks,

I don't know if it's a good deal but seems like a nice bundle especially if you don't have a caddy.

Looks like a pretty good deal to me. However, I'm not real crazy about the caddy - but as long as you like it that's all that matters. Happy smoking!

Odd, they're usually highly praised - what don't you like about it?. I have the 5 count OtterBox and it kicks so much ass that I wouldn't hesitate going bigger when I need to - the thing has already survived several unscheduled submersions on my last camping trip and come out shining.

I gotta agree that otters are most likely the best travel humis made.

seconded.
not a bad deal for a big case like that one, esp with cigars (tho those aren't my taste).

Heck, i paid 50 for my ipod armour, which is probably lesser quality than an otterbox... then again, it's for the ipod.

iPod cases :whistling:

Pelican boxes, are much better quality i think. A little more expensive.
They are called the Cigar Trek(small) and Road Warrior 2000(large).
They are for sale everywere on the internet, check them out!

Like I stated earlier, you might love it as it appears several others do as well, but I prefer my smaller travel humi which isn't as bulky at this one and cost quite a bit less. However, it depends on what you're looking for. My travel humi certainly couldn't protect against water and other elements, but I don't need it to. Again, just depends what your needs are. Regardless of all that, if you like the caddy, I think you got a good deal! Enjoy!!

For everyday use, I love my Havana Pocket Humidor, which has the Little Havana cutter built into it (you can get it for nearly half that proce off cBid), but when I think of 'travel humidor' I think of something that could home more than say 10 sticks.

I've been debating on getting that sampler myself...seems like a good selection of smokes. It usually goes for about that much on cbid from what I've seen in the past and as mentioned it goes for $100 at CI so I think you got a pretty good deal.

Thanks for the feedback. I was going to buy an Otterbox anyway. I do quit a bit of smoking and fishing (and smoking fish ) at our lake house. Have lost a few cigars to water. Why not get some decent cigars in it?

My wife won't kill me she'll just use it as an excuse to shop more.
