Well I just got back from my software training in Springfield, Mass. Overall an excellent trip. Was able to head in to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun and meet up with coventrycat.

Here was my lineup for the week: (Ranked in order of excellence)

1. Cohiba Corona Especiale '00 - Amazing smoke. Best of the week
2. Quintero Brevas '94 - Smooth and powerful. The port may have helped this one
3. Cohiba Robusto '03 - Somewhere between Good and Great.
4. Montecristo #2 (date unknown) - See Above
5. Anejo #50 - Amazing throughout, but kicked my ass when I tried to get up. I eventually turned green and hurled. Still, it was damn gooood.
6. Jose Piedra Cazadore '03 - No complaints. Straightforward Tobacco. It has it's place in the lineup. Role player not an all-star.

Your system is obviously allergic to non-cuban cigars :p

That's a good sign.....................

I enjoyed the Brevas (compliments of Ricardo  ) as well ;) While I tend to like the young, raw Quinteros, this aged Brevas was just as Ric said "Smooth and Powerful"

Looks to me like his second-favorite cigar of the bunch was distinctly non-Cuban :)

Anyway, yah, he can't drink anything but French wine either.

Oh it may have been his second favorite but my observation was that his "system" reacted rather violently to it :0

Ya totally lost me with that one ??? Port was invented by the British as "somewhere between a desperate measure and a brilliant scheme for making the wine of Portugal palatable."*
Ya make port by adding brandy to wine half way through the fermentation process.
Oh and law in Great Britain prohibits the name of "Port" from being used for any wine that is not from Portugal.

I'm making fun of people who have stereotype biases based on country of origin. ;)

Nah.
I still love them Padrons. I had a 1926 no.9 maduro with me on the trip but I ended up not having it. I was going to have it after the casino day but decided against it.

Welcome to the vomiters club. I'm a proud member curteousy of a JdN Antano Robusto.
I've honestly never had that happen to me yet -- still hoping though -- it'd be a new and comical experience :)
