This has been in the works for a few months, not a case of me trying to keep up with the "LilBastage's".

Brewmeister brought his to a herf earlier this year, and I fell in love with it!

Flat bottom, butterscotch tip, Remington 12 ga brass.

Beauty! My next Boswell will be one of the Shot Shell pipes. They're very unique and quite snazzy looking.

Congrats!

Glad you like the Boswell Dan! I have enjoyed mine

tremendously and I'm thinking of another, albeit a bit different. BTW - It only took them a couple days to have it custom made, it just took me a couple months to get it ordered. Just FYI - J.M. Boswell says it only takes him about 30 minutes to make a pipe from a chunk of briar. Amazing to me.

Dan that is a very nice looking pipe. Enjoy it!

Very nice ...... Okay, I gotta get myself a pipe and give this a try.

Edit: just couldn't take it anymore :whistling: , I just ordered my first pipe .... a Boswell.

Boswell is my favorite pipe maker. I have one of his and it smokes the coolest of all my pipes. They're blends are great too!

Glad there is alot of Boswell's love here!

that's a nice piece. just when I thought my savinelli autographs were the best looking, lol...

How does the ordering of a Boswell pipe work?

Do you just wait for the website to get updated then try and snag what you want before it sells, or can you request a specific shape/size/finish/etc?

You can wait for the update or if there's a particular pipe on their website that you like, a few personalizations can be made just for you if you have the patience to wait for them to make a new one. I'm expecting delivery tomorrow of a pipe made just for me. I took a picture of a pipe of theirs I liked from the website, made a couple of changes, traded a few e-mails working out the details, and 2 weeks later it will be at my door. They are VERY great to deal with and provide excellent customer service.

Their updates are a little sporadic, but from what I gather, they have pipes in their shop that aren't necessarily shown on the site.

I'm hoping to visit his shop Thanksgiving weekend, which will probably end up being a bad thing ($$$). :whistling:

I get over to their store fairly often, can help you out if you'd like. Otherwise, just call and talk to Danny or J.M., either can take care of what you'd like. Yes, they have a display of pipes all the time in the store that are not on their website. The on-hand stock varies greatly. LMK, glad to help, if I can.

I may take you up on that...

Have you ever seen a sub-$40 bent in the store?
I'm looking for a christmas present for a buddy who is ready to move on from drugstore pipes...

I'm calling tomorrow to order MY pipe... Now if I can only decide on what to get...

Called and talked to JM today...
He wasn't sure when he'd be able to make another of the freehand pokers, but told me to email his wife so I could get on the list...

I'm tempted to pick up something else from them in the meantime... Maybe something in a chuchwarden...

Just got off the phone with Dan after getting a couple emails from Gail over the weekend. JM turned out a beautiful pipe that they gave me first shot at, and I just couldn't say no:

That sure is a beauty. :)

I wish I had a shop somewhere near here, especially one as great as Boswell's.

Smoke it in good health!
