I thorougly enjoyed the dirty rat I had the opportunity to try! In the tributo line I prefer in order the Alvaro, Alvarito, Julio, then Manolin.

Israel - I haven't had the pleasure of trying the variety of cigars you have, but there are a few that stuck in my mind.....

- My Father, Le Bijou .....wow. What a cigar. How these could get passed over is beyond me. I'm a fan of the Petite Robusto and the Grand Robusto....what a blend.
- Padron '46 - A rather nice departure for the Padron family. Large ring, exceptional blend....what a treat. One of my "go to" smokes when I'm in the mood for a splurge.
- Tatuaje Petite Cazadores Reserva - Maybe "little" smokes don't get any respect (channeling Rodney Dangerfield here) but this little spice bomb is one hell of a small cigar. I think it almost completely displaced the Illusione 68 as my "go to" small smoke....almost....:p

I'll admit that initially I was a bit underwhelmed by the My Father Reserva's but the jury is still out on those.......

Cheers, gents - B.B.S.

I will have to give these a try, because like you I really like the Illusione 68. I can't comment on the others, as was very limited last year in new smokes I tried.

Ken

Of the cigars in your list, I respectfully disagree with the following:

My Father Limited Edition - just a blah cigar, one dimensional and pepper like none other
Tatuaje Anarchy - needs alot of rest time or something, smoked two, each from a different shipment and this was probably the worst of the "LE" tatuaje other than the Outlaw

Seems like Don Pepins have had the most letdown for 2010 IMHO.

This is a great inexpensive small cigar and it even has a kick.

My Father Le Bijou Petit Robusto... AMAZING smoke. That would be on the top of my list for 2010.

My Father Le Bijou Petit Robusto was right up there in top smokes of the year, but I think the My Father #4 Lancero was even better.

I can understand that, Luke....I just cant' understand how a Camacho Corojo gets in the top 5.

Issy, I agree with you on the Camacho. Its the only Camacho I have smoked but was not impressed with it at all. I thought maybe it was just my inexperienced pallet.

I thought the EPC Short Run was one of the best of the year. The CAO La Traviata tasted like nasty ass, imho.

Never had the Camacho. Only had the Triple Maduro and it was okay. Bought a box of the CAO's, still have them. No one wants them.

IMHO, Illusione and Padron should have taken the stage in flying colors.

I second that Illusione Singular, Isy! I ended up grabbing 2 more boxes from a local B&M just in case ;)

EP Carillo Short Run and even his initial Edicion Inaugural (late '09) are top notch for me.

Padron 46 gets my vote too!

But, I gotta admit, that new AF sungrown 858 is like crack to me.

Isy, gotta' be the classic CA 'Give them a high rating to reward them for spending a ton on advertising with us'.

...and I'm sure Davidoff/Camacho does write some pretty hefty checks to Marvin ;)

Also, imagine how much they paid to have Camacho cigars all over the TV show 'Sons of Anarchy'?
