Here are some pics of the humidor i am building it is 5' tall 30" wide and 18" deep the bottom part will be a drawer and the top part will be etched glass doors. It will be stained a dark mahogony with brass trim

What you guys think?

There will be 4 drawers that slide completely out of the cabinet when it is done and a divided spanish cedar drawer for singles at the bottom. The glass will be etched with some sort of cigar logo. The dental trim will go around the top and the bottom trim will be put in ... there is also stop trim that is missing in the corners.

It looks great so far. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Outstanding work there. I wish I were handy enough to do such a thing.

Looking forward to the finished product.

Yep, looks nice so far, looking forward to see it finished :)

I think you really deserve a bigger and better humidor than that. You should finish it, send it to me and start on yours ASAP. :)

Very nice workmanship.

Ken

Great job man.. BTW havent heard from you about "tweaking" out the peltier units, I am assuming that you got it working great.

Looks awesome so far. Keep posting pics to update us!

That is looking sweet! About the same size as mine but I didn't build mine. I can't cut a straight line with my DeWalt miter saw :p

I just wing it as i go.. i have the plans in my head.. people think im crazy when i tell them that.. when it is done i am going to write the plans down and scan/post them for any other adventurous BOTL.

What's with all the cardboard?
i dont have a woodshop i own a restaurant and that is to keep the cedar from getting things dripped/dropped on it

Thank you for all the kind words everyone
Good thinking, I don't think I'd want chicken soup spilled on the inside of my new humi either! Keep the pics comin', it's looking great!
I was going to just buy one but i couldnt find anything i really loved then your thread inspired me.

Well thank you! You know, there's a great amount of pride I take every time I open up my humidor, not so much my coolerdor, but for sure my humidor! ;)

oh, but the chicken flavor along with the spice of a cigar?! its a total winner!

If you can figure out a way to have that humidor also produce cheeseburgers, I'd buy one!

We can call it a... Burgerdor!
