My humidor and the set up.

First of all, thanks for such a great place to go to online. I'm a newbie to CP and also fairly new to cigars. I got a humidor a couple years ago that held around 35 cigars. I hated it becuase I couldn't see my cigars without opening the door. I like to admire them and opening it up all the time made it hard to keep my humidity stable. So I upgraded to this one. It says it holds 150, but that is if they are doubled up and stacked.

Here are a few pics of my humidor and how I have it set up. I just want to make sure I am doing it right as far as storage and so forth. I've tried to separate them by wrapper so that they don't bleed flavor and aroma too much. Is that a myth or can it actually happen? I've also put my humidifier on the bottom, but I've heard that it works better on the middle shelf...true? If you can, just let me know what you think of what I've got. Any help would be great. Thanks!

There are more pics in my album if you are interested in looking.

As soon as I get my new shipment in, I will update the photos. It will mostly be adding to the top 25 that I'm trying to get. I think it will bring me up to about 20 of the top 25. (I'll still be missing the ISOM's)

Looks Yummy to me, did you take the time to season the humi first? That was the only issue I had with my first set up.

Nice looking set up.

I seasoned it first. I have never had a single problem with it. The humidity is always right on and the smokes are always perfect. It is a great humidor itself, I was just wondering about the cigar arrangement in there.

Nice setup. First off, IMO the flavors won't marry with one another unless you plan to age them like that for years so you should be fine. Secondly, approximating the size, placing the humidifier on the bottom should do just fine. As long as the seal is good, and you get some circulation of fresh air inside, the humdity will travel to the top. I actually did a test and placed a dish of beads on the bottom of my wine cooler and the humidity on the top bin (which is about 1.5' up) read 1% lower than the bottom so you should be good.

Looks good to me. If your humi starts getting too crowded, and you don't feel right about double stacking, just send any overflow my way. I woldn't want you to get in a pinch. :D

If your worried about the RH not being equal throughout, just buy a cheap hygrometer from Walmart ($7), then you can move it around and check the RH in different areas of your humi. If you aren't currently using a digital, I would highly recommend it anyways. The analog jobbies that come with your humi are basically for decoration. Mine isn't even in the ballpark!
