Well I smoked a Torano exodus for the ash standing contest tonight, and it was terrible! It left a bad taste in my mouth, and I had to clean the palate with something nice. I searched through the cooler for a nice stick and came across a RASS given to me in the Newbie Sampler Thread.

This was my first RASS and only my 4-5 ISOM so I was very excited by the smell and pre-light draw on this bad boy. I thought surely this baby would do the trick and let me tell you...IT DID.

It started off really spicy, but after the first inch this stick really mellowed out and was very well balanced. It was spicy the whole way down, but it was blended nicely and very enjoyable. The smoke billowed from my mouth, the draw couldn't have been better, and the burn was like a razor the whole way. I smoked this one down to the nub in about 45 min. Great smoke!

I had the credit card out to get a box, but after seeing they are 9 bucks a stick or so I decided I better hold off until I start my job next week! :D You can be assured that I will have a box of these soon resting in my cooler. Thanks to Craig for allowing me to try my first RASS.

Sounds like you had a great experience but 45 minutes? Man oh man you could have let that puppy savour a bit more. I had one recently that took me at least an hour to smoke. A little too eager there were you?

great smoke. Thanks for the review.

You do need to find a new vendor tho. I usually pay between $6-7 per stick.

RAs are one of my favorite lines but the RASS are my least favorite of this brand. I prefer the RASCC, the RAG and the RG PC over these.

Agree 100% with Bill, Try a RASCC (Ramon Allones Small Club Coronas) if you can, everything you liked about the RASS but better.

45ish minutes sounds about right to me. Great smoke and decent price.

Try the RASCC

RASS is a good smoke, sometimes fantastic.
Can never figure, is it me, my mood, time of day
or just the stick that decides to oblige or not because
sometimes this stick is fantastic. Mind you, I have the same
scenario with the SLR Serie A, sometimes so tasty I rush for another stick
on my next humi pass only to find that it doesn't match up.

Anyway, I have to agree with CC and others,
RASCC is very tasty and IMO, more consistent then RASS or SerieA

I was fortunate enough to be able to smoke a RASS recently too. I'm a pretty slow smoker yet so it lasted me over an hour; more like an hour and a half. Best hour and a half of smoking this newb has experienced. Very tasty and a fabulous aroma. These are on my must buy list.

Well,
Thanks to some peer pressure put on me by a certain xRanger after his bomb tore through my house... I put fire to my first RASS this morning!!!
Although this was not my #1 ISOM so far, it was a damn fine smoke! I had a few burn issues, but I think that was operator error on my part!!! ;)
I would let a few of these take up valuable space in the humi for sure!!!

Thanks xRanger... you are a true BOTL!!!
