First off I have to start by saying I don't like the regular Fuente Hemingway line of cigars...but I've heard so much about the maduro I had to buy a few.
Now, I've owned a few WOAM's for quite some time but have never had the cahones to light one up because of how damn hard they are to find...so I just sit on them waiting for the right occasion. But the other day I walk in to a cigar store that I don't get to very often and he has a box of Classic Maduros on the shelf at normal prices ($11 in California). So I bought 4 of 'em and decided to light one up last night. Here goes...
Construction looked flawless except that the cigar was slightly bent. But no big deal...I'll just get a crooked ash!!
Perfect cut with my new Xikar cutter.
Pre-light draw was perfect...even though that damn little opening at the end.
It lit up great and it never got out of hand.
The flavor right off the bat was of very strong dark chocolate...and a hint of espresso. WOW!! It made me think of a great desert...almost like tiramissu (sic). It also had a nice amount of tobacco and earth, but the overwhelming flavor of chocolate and coffee was out of this world. The flavor intestified toward the end because it got a litle hot...so good I puffed the hell out of it...I couldn't put it down. I forced myself to let it rest a few minutes and it mellowed back down to a very smooth, medium bodied chocolate treat.
It only needed one correction throughout the entire smoke and it pulled perfect the whole time.
For those of you who have smoked a number of these...I know why. Such a nice new experience of a great tasting cigar! If you have the means to obtain one or more of these, do so and smoke them. I know I won't let those WOAM's have any more time alone!!!

PS...if anyone finds they hate these...give them to me!!
