The CAO-MX-2 is an intimidating 7x56. For someone that doesn't smoke much this might send them running. I knew though being a CAO that I was most likely in for a treat. When I removed it from the wrapper and smelled the foot it had a very pleasant espresso/nutty aroma. The cigar was very uniform in firmness throuout. The wrap was a very fine veined leaf and pleasant smell. When I cut the cap it was a very clean, firm cut. The first draw was very similar to the scent I got from the foot. It was slightly sweet and nutty. What suprized me was when I lit it. Usually you have to get past the first 1/2 inch for a cigar to start getting flavorful. Not the case here. From the first mouthful of smoke this cigar was very enjoyable. It started with an espresso/ Pecan type flavor that was very full bodied. About 1 inch into it, it developed a little more leatherish texture to the smoke and stayed that way for almost an hour. I'm now about 1/2 way into the cigar and thinking this is great. Just about this time it started to get even more thick chewy smoke. Now it's come full circle and developed into a very full flavored cigar. All the tastes discussed befor have now become fully developed. Not at all over powering or unbalanced. Just lots of flavor. It stayed like this until the end at this point. At the very end it came unraveled but I think that was due to the fact that I didn't leave them in the humi long enough after being mailed to me. In the end I'd have to say this is my new favorite X-2 Maduro followed closely by the Rocky Patel Fusion MM. If I had to score it I'd give it a 91. The score might have been higher if it wouldn't have unraveled at the end. If you plan on enjoying one of these, make sure you have a couple hours to relax and enjoy this wonderful cigar. Please let me know what your experiences have been with this fine cigar. (I'll attach a pic tomorrow)
