My Cohibas sucked

I ordered up a sampler of Cohiba Corona's and I have to say that I was very disappointed with the cigar in a few different areas.

1. The wrapper was in terrible shape, it started flake as soon as the cellophane came off.
2. After I lit the cigar it began to smoke UN evenly.
3. The band looked like it was put on by a 3 yr old.

I know a lot of people love these cigars and I am sure that most of them are high quality but for all the hype including the hype for the Dominican Cohinbas I feel cheated.

I am sure the Cubans are much better than the ones I sampled but I would rather smoke a Partagas 898 any day of the week.

It may just have been the company I bought it from but seems like one of those deals where when the demand gets so high for a product the quality go down

Ironworker, I have to agree with you brother. I never really cared for the Dominican Cohibas. Way overrated IMO.

A little late, but don't waste your money on Dominican Cohibas. There are MUCH better cigars on the market for that price. You are only paying for the name, not the quality of the cigar. I've had a couple and would never buy another one.

Do not bother with the various (knock-off and real) non-Cuban Cohibas. Just don't bother.

I hope your not talking about the yellow band DR Cohibas, those are really bad.

I don't know, Moki - the Red Dot Cohiba's aren't bad - a bit overpriced, but not bad... Especially the XV's...

These were the Red Dot regular Band Cohibas and like I said were just terrible.

I was dissapointed because I thought they would be as good or better than a comparable priced cigar.

Like I said, Next time I will ask before I purchase something new.

Red Dot Robustos used to be my favorite smoke when I first started out  Hey, at least I had the brand right :p

I was gifted a Red Dot several weeks ago. It was a good cigar..but you can get PAMs for the same or less money and they are much better.

I'd take a Cuban Cohiba over a red dot any day of the week...
