Me to Moki:
Smoked that Esplendio tonight. Great yard-gar. It's not real. Doesn't even look real. Bad soft spots and smelled like a plant, not a tobacco plant. Just not a cohiba. Atleast the CoRo looked and smelled and even tasted cuban, the esplendos, are not...

Someone has to get this guy the real deal so:

A. If he buys more, they are the true thing
or B. He will know not to buy the fakes again.

I had the same experience, and although I think I smoked it when it was a little wet It just plain tasted sour. I smoked about half of it and quit.

I took it to the end. I'll say this, i'd pay two or three bucks for them, as they would be great yard cigars for when i'm mowing or something, but not 20 bucks for them! There's always ebay.

Vitasea, I think you missed this on another thread... Thought I'd repost it for you. I hope it helps...

I think this is gettin' a little old. ???

Vitasea, At this board (like other cigar boards) we ask you start out with an opening statement about yourself and your cigar history. Your first post was really bad, and basically just mentioned you somehow "didn't mean to", whatever, stop at cuba and pick up a couple of boxes of cigars.

Please read the boards rules, and other information about the board before posting. Seeing your posts is like seeing you, and your first impression wasn't good at all.

As for your cigars, there are really mixed opinions about them. Obviously you've sold some, because you said someone bought a fiver of the Boli's. Post what you got and how much total. If people want to buy, they will. If not, I'm sorry. I just think this is really getting out of hand, and getting old.

And IMHO, I don't think you smoke cigars too often, because the esplendio I got, was fake. Cohiba wouldn't make that cigar with as many flaws in the wrapper as I say. I just think you don't know you are buying fakes.

...and giving you the benefit of the doubt (not knowing they were fake) you have a whole lot of people here that would look our for your best interest and honestly tell you they're fake if they are. I'm sure if you just walked up to anyone on the street and sold these as true ISOM's - they'd buy them without question (and be happy, too!!). Certainly from the posts you've seen, both on threads related to your cigars, and other posts about ISOM's, you've got to know you're not dealing with your average walking down the street White Owl cigar smoking guy...

I am not a cigar expert, and that's primarily what draws me to this board. There are plenty here to help me better understand and appreciate "fine" cigars. You have entered a "house" where trying to sell something that may not be legit will be ferreted out. You may not like what is said - but it is VERY honest!!! You can take it as an insult (as I've seen you do) and rant about where you got them, how you got them, and why they're (in your opinion) legit. But you better be prepared for the kind of backlash that's going on now.

I was one of the persons who told Vitasea that there are VERY generous BOTL's on this board. I told him that if he were to post a request for supplies, members of this board would respond generously. I have no doubt that would happen. BUT, Vitasea, I believe it has to be done in such a way that CPers will accept that you are legit. Given what has happened since you arrived here, there is and will be skepticism. Maybe you need to rethink your approach. Certainly, your spam PM's didn't help the situation. Your continued pursuit of the sale of questionable ISOM's in the forums isn't helping - whether it's in the BUY/SELL/TRADE forum, or the Retailer thread.

What I have heard, over and over (and I'm surprised you didn't hear it as well) were CPers trying to help you - listening to you - providing honest reviews of what you sent out. Not maybe what you want to hear, certainly not necessarily deragatory towards you, just an honest assessment. I know some of the members you sent cigars to - and I would unquestionably trust their judgement.

Vitasea, it was a very generous gesture for you to send "samples" to CP members. But, you did not get the overwhelming positive response you believe you did about the legitimacy of what you sent out. Take that as a mandate.... Change your tactics, listen to what is said, or face being ignored - or worse - being banned... And the bad part of that, if you do manage to be shut down here, it will follow you to every other board you go...
