So I have been waiting to review this spice bomb for some time and I was not disappointed. CAO has come out with a few of the x2 cigars over the years. The Cx2 is the Cameroon x 2, the Mx2 is the Maduro x2 One of my favorite smokes. And now the Lx2 Ligero times two. The ligero leaf is taken from the very top of the tobacco plant, and it contains the greatest amount of nicotine, sugar, and spice. This is what gives most cigars its flavor and the more ligero leaf you have the more bold the cigar is.

The breakdown
Size: Belicoso (6.5" x 52)
Wrapper: Nicaragua
Binder: Honduras
Filler: Dominican Republic and Nicaraguan Ligero

The appearance: From the start this cigar looks good Dark and oily wrapper. The smell was surprisingly not as bold as I thought it would be it came of with a slight salty smell. There were a few visible veins. And the foot as you can see looked very well packed.

First Half: This cigar lit up great burn started out nice and even. Flavor of the first half was very spicy but there was an underlying sweet flavor that would come though. I would defiantly call it a full bodied cigar at this point. Buy the end of the first half I could start to feel the nicotine kicking in.

Second Half: Surprisingly this cigar mellowed out a bit in the second half with more a sweetness coming though with some cinnamon scent to the smoke very enjoyable! The burn was a bit of an annoyance it would burn uneven and needed a little correction from the torch. But never to the point I had to put it down.

Conclusion:
This is a great cigar if you are in the mood for a big bold bite of a cigar. This is not one you wanna smoke on an empty stomach this would be a great smoke after a big steak dinner. Price wise this is a bit more then the other CAO cigars on the market but I feel it has to do more with supply and demand at this point but they are readable available online and in most cigar stores. Enjoy! rp

Nice review Ryan. I've had one of these resting for a month or so. Looks like its time to give it a go.

I haven't smoked a CAO in quite some time. Funny, I had no idea that's what the letters meant on these. That's pretty cool! Thanks for the lesson and great review!

Very good review Ryan. If you get the chance, try the Lancero... Even better.

Thanks for the review.
The only CAO I had was America Anthem which was superb.
I'll defiantly look for some Lx2 to try.

My friend, you need a MX2 and a Brazila. The MX2 is in my top 5 when it comes to affordable sticks.

If you're a CAO fan, IMHO you should set some spark to the Sopranos and Vision. Of the CAO line, those two and the classic Italia are my favorite three. The Vision and Sopranos are a little more expensive, but completely worth it to me.

Nice review Ryan, sounds like a little more smoke than my weany ass can handle. ;)

Great review. I bought one of these last week from my local B&M. His exact words were "you want to smoke this in the evening and sitting down." I can not wait. I am going to wait until it warms up some so I can relax and enjoy it.

Great review.

I will have to find that perfect time to try one of these strong cigars.

Thanks

Just finished a steak and salad, about to go sit out on the porch and watch a movie with an OBsidian Porter and a CAO LX2. I am excited to try this one out after reading the review!

I'm really starting to think that I need to revisit the Lx2 line. I tried the robusto the other day and it was absolutely horrible however, with all the praise given for this stick, I'm becoming more convinced that I just got a lemon. Thanks for the review.

I've been wanting to try one of these for some now as I am a big fan of Ligeros. I think I'm going to have to pick one up.
Thanks for the review!

To add my opinions...

It was great! I started smoking it while watching a long movie, and didn't think much of it. then When I looked down, it was about half an inch long! I guess it WAS good after all! surprised me!

I'll definitely be smoking more of these.

Great review. I like the Sopranos but I wish they were a litter cheaper. I will have to try an Lx2 sometime.
