Hey guys! First time poster and excited to be apart of the forum!

I am thinking of buying a box of MUWAT KFC's, but I only have one humidor. My worry is that the scent of the KFC's will impart taste on my other cigars in my humidor, which I definitely do not want to do. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Thanks you in advance for your help!

First welcome to CP. I hope you post an introductory post in the new member forum and enjoy the fellowship.

To answer your question, I wouldn't added them to your humidor. Cigars are like little sponges so that smoke flavor will spread. That being said, why no get a Boveda packet and a Tupperware container to store that box you want to buy. Keeps things separate, pretty cheap and simple.

Is storing any kind of different cigar unwise considering that they pull from other cigar's flavors? I ask because I have a few cigars that I am saving but don't want them to get ruined by other cigars. I don't keep any infused/flavored cigars in my humidor.

I think that is a good idea though. I will just store them in Tupperware. You mentioned a boveda, but i don't really have the money to spend on that at the moment. If I add a light mist to the Tupperware interior every so often do you think that would do the trick?

Also, where would one post an introduction post?

Welcome to the forum. You can get a Boveda pack for only a few dollars. However, if you don't want to go that route, I'd be careful spraying a mist if water in the Tupperware container every so often. You could run the risk of making it too moist in there and end up with mold. I'd put a little distilled water in a shot glass and keep it in there instead.

EDIT: The Intro Forum is listed under the Non-Cigar Related forums: http://www.cigarpass.com/forum/index.php?forums/introduce-yourself-here.13/

If you can afford a box, you can afford the $4 for a Boveda packet. Tupperware will be air tight and so by spraying or even leaving containers of water in with your cigars can be a recipe for disaster. You can quickly get over-humidify your cigars and promote the growth of mold.

As for storing cigars together, as long as you don't store flavored cigars amongst non-flavored cigars, you'll be fine.

Do NOT spray water on your cigars. I promise you, they'll mold right up.

If your local B&M doesn't have Bovida packs, here's a decent deal on ten of the 8 gram version for $12.97, shipped:

Also, keep in mind you can 'refresh' Bovida packs by putting them in a small tupperware container with a small, clean synthetic sponge that's slightly moist with distilled water. They absorb and give off humidity; if you don't let them get 'potato chip' dry, they'll soak up moisture and you can use them over and over for quite a while.

Thanks a lot guys! You have been a huge help! I think I'll get the boveda. I was looking online and they looked expensive, but maybe I was looking at the wrong one.

Regarding an intro post, what does this entail?

Again, thanks a ton! I really appreciate it.
