Another question about cigar life in Montreal.

I'll be bringing my own sticks, because I have heard what Canadian prices are like. Where can I sit with a few buddies and smoke some cigars? Anybody been to this place? http://www.whiskycafe.ca/

Looks a little snobby, but I do love scotch and cigars, and I'll be with my two brothers, and 5 of my best friends, so the attitude won't affect us much.

Anyplace else? We just want to sit with our cigars and our drinks for a few hours between other events taking place during my Montreal bachelor party in April.

I don't see how you can tell it looks snobby from the website.
If you mean it looks to be on the higher end of the scale of nice places,I can see that.

Nice selection of liquor.
I like the looks of the menu and there is a cigar room/store...nice.

If you go there please post a review.

Thanks

Compared to the US, anything would look snobby in Montreal. People get dressed up there. You'll never see a women in jeans walking down St. Catherens St. I remember going to the old Fourm to see the Habs play and seeing women fans dressed to the 9's. A far cry from Boston Garden.

Doc.

You should definitely make a trip to the La Casa Del Habanos on Sherbrooke. Yes the cigar prices are stupid, but the place is very cool. Buy a cheap MM cigar and then smoke what you brought with you. There also used to a place called Montecristos that was behind the Hotel de La Montagne that was also a great place to hand out.

If you do not have hotel reservations I would recommend the Hotel de La Montagne, it is a great location and has a major league meat market named Thursdays and some other disco right there.

Also if the Gran Prix is still in business you need to make a trip there. It will make every other stip joint pale in comparison, and ruin you for any other strip joint you ever visit the rest of your life.
