A few weeks ago I was offered this fine cigar by Don.

It's a honker. I finally found the time to sit and do a review.

The cigar was rich and dark with a few veins...it looked like a man-ly man's cigar!

After a quick clip, the draw test was perfect for it's size.

The cigar started out a tad sharp....and I mean just enough to notice...but that stopped after the 3rd or 4th draw.

As I started to smoke and type a review, I was just enjoying the cigar so much that I put down the pc and just smoked!

Nice hints of chocolate...not too grassy - slightly dry at times. This was a cross between a nice No 2 and an Edmundo...actually, it reminded me of the early boxes of Edmundo's I smoked young. Rich, full chocolate and sweet spice. Funny, the cigar was like this the whole way thru!

The nic-kick wasn't overwhelming, but by the last couple inches I knew I had just smoked a lot!

Sorry I can't be more detailed Don.

I think the fact that I just wanted to enjoy this cigar, and did, show's that I liked it a lot. I can't emphasive that enough...I just truly enjoyed this cigar.

<edit - GB?> ;)

Thanks for the review! I have a box sitting in the back, with the intent of giving these a decent amount of time before I tried one out. Based on your post, they're smoking great young, which is a really good sign since I haven't found too many of the ELs to be a great smoke fresh.

I'll probalby give it a couple more months before I try my first, hopefully they don't enter a sick period around then!

It's really an amazing cigar. That review was dead on as well, I was thinking all of the same things with the spice and the kick. Although I can't write reviews that well, Greateful1 really nailed it.

I love the kick, when I get a great cigar like that with that kick I know I can set it down for years and know that I'm not going to come back to a ridiculously mild cigar!

I have burned through three out of my box and they are SWEET! I can only imagine what some age on these things will do to them. The hard part is staying away from the box when I open the humi!

Glad you enjoyed it Gary. I am having a hard time keeping my hands off them to let them age.

So would you give this a "buy more now" rating? As in, better buy as many as you can while they're still available?

For some reason I just see these as becoming the next '04 Sublime or Mag50 EL. Those are both something I wish I had bought much more of when I had the chance.

And with that and upon Gary's proclamation I've gone ahead and bought two more boxes of these to be stored far far away from my greedy claws.

LOL I am getting as many as I can. I think they will be hard to come by fairly soon. Speaking about Mag 50 EL the 08 Mag 50 is a pretty damn good cigar also.

All you GB people realize these come in boxes of 10 right?

I plan on stocking up on these while the price is decent (not great) and they still can be found!

I just picked one up in Gonz's pass! Woohoo! :D Now if I can just get my freakin' smell/taste back....
