thanks to joe invest, i finally got to try a monte serie v.
this one was a robusto.
first of all, they were serious about the head of this one.
triple capped, if i'm not mistaken. between that and
all the binder, i had about 1/8" to cut through, but my
.357 casing was up to the task. perfect prelight draw
produced taste of earth and leather. toasting the foot
released notes of nuts and wood. the burn was perfect
and this seemed to be an extremely cool smoke though
ambient temp outside is 92°. taste was typical monte,
leather and cedar, but with an undertone i never could quite
indentify. it was delicious with not voluminous, but ample
smoke. the ash was tenacious and held as long as i would
allow. it was silky when flicked.
at halfway, it added strong coffee with cream flavor. a real
finger burner!
overall, i would give it a 92!
thanks joe!!
