Well, first of all I'd like to thank yogimon for gifting me 4 of these so I could try them. They showed up in perfect condition.
These things were a little larger than I had expected...I mean I was expecting 7x58 but it doesn't really strike you as that large until you're holding it in your hands. As soon as I took this thing out of the chello I could immediately smell what I would describe an earthy, licorice aroma. Moistening the cap before I cut it definitely was a surpise(I've never tasted a cigar that salty). The pre-light draw was perfect and reminded me of an earthy, tangy celery. The first couple of puffs had a strong taste of licorice and earthyness. It smoothed out into a nice unsweetened dark chocolate and earthy spice for the first third.
The second third it mellowed out into a calm nutty flavor that was consistent through most of the rest of the stick. It ended with a toasty almost refreshing taste. The only thing I can think of to describe the finish is celery...I'm still a newb and my palate is still pretty un-refined so I can't really put my finger on a lot of the different flavors but..Overall this was a great cigar. It started off very smooth and mellow and stayed that way through most of the smoke. It did start to get a little bit harsh towards the end(Maybe I was puffing on it too much...I dunno), but I'll give the other 3 a little bit of a rest in the coolidor and see what happens.
All in all I'd say it was definitely a good hour spent enjoying a nice cigar. I can't wait to see what the others are like after they rest a little bit.
Just wanted to say thanks again to yogimon for making it happen
