I picked up a box of these off cbid.

Pre-light aroma very good
Construction perfect
Burn Perfect
Draw was tight
Ash very good
Flavor= I thought that was going to be a stronger or more full bodied cigar.
The start was very light, mid way the pepper and spice start to kick, near the end the full body came out. Then each draw is a power packed punch of pepper and spice and everything nice.....I know I am poet and did not know it! :D

I enjoyed this cigar, I wish the start was as good as the finish.
I would not buy a box of these for retail $125, on cibid I paid $55.
At $55 its a no brainer!

I would say that Montecristo Cigar des Arts Royale Tubos has a place in my humidor.

Thats my take

Never much cared for the Montecristo Cigars des Artes. Never had one draw well and the smoke production was always way down. The Indonesian wrapper also has a papery taste to it. If I am going to smoke a NC Monte, it will be the Peruvian Maduro or the Platinum.

If you enjoy these, check your local Costco. Mine has them, and I think they're $55 a set. I also noticed they had R&J sets for $40 & $50 depending on the vitola, and they also come in a "travel humidor" (plastic case with a sponge in it).

I've never bothered picking either of them up as I generally find them a little mild for my tastes, but if you like 'em, the price seems fair.

No kidding, shoot I am on my way to day.
I love to have a reason to go to Costco
Thanks

I think I have a few Monte CDA "A"s in the humi somewhere. The last one had some draw problems but it cleared up after a few inches.
