OK, so i was intrigued by these guys last fall, namely for the Peruvian tobacco that makes up a portion of the filler. I found a three pack at below MSRP (I paid $5.00 a stick). I smoked the first last november and found it very inconsistant. The first portion of the cigar tasted very young. After the initial 1/3, it was very plain; kinda boring. However, at times I had puffs that tasted very unique and interesting. Unfortunately, these flavors never seemed to develop. I thought a little age may help.
So I threw the other two in the humi. Since then I gifted one to a fellow BOTL looking to try these. On Saturday, I decided to burn the third and final one, hoping that the past 10 months may have helped...
It didn't.
While the fresh/young flavor at the onset was gone, it was replaced by that same old straight forward bland tobacco taste. I was never able to say that I actually got anything enjoyable out of the smoke.
The construction was wonderful. Perfect burn and draw. Lots of smoke and a firm, grey ash. But beyond that, it wasn't anything to write home about.
I think that will be the last of this line that I smoke.
Just my $0.02.
