Mixing Random Single Sticks

New to the hobby and loving every minute of it! I find myself running to the cigar shop every other day to buy more cigars that I can't smoke fast enough.
Three weeks of buying and I notice I have a good amount of sticks to sample... no more than 2 or 3 of the same type. Some are cello-wrapped, some aren't. None are in boxes.

What is the best way to store these in my humidor? Do I have to worry about the sticks sharing flavors since they are all in a relatively small humidor?

Any advice would be appreciated. Right now they are just in there - side-by-side and one-on-top of the other.

The only cigars that I would worry about "sharing" aromas are flavored ones. If you don't have any flavored cigars in your humidor you should be fine.

Agreed!

"Flavored" would also include ACIDs. A lot of people don't think of these when they hear "flavored". They aren't actually made the same way that the other flavored cigars are made, but they'll stink everything up to high heaven if you put them in with your regular smokes.

(Don't ask me how I know :whistling: )

I generally don't put any different branded naked sticks next to each other just to be safe.

as well as i, i like to keep a cello stick or a little room between naked sticks

I try to keep all my Cuban singles in one humidor and NCs in another humidor. I noticed that there is a distinct difference in aromas between the NCs and the Cubans and love the smell of both.

Same here - ISOM's, NC's, etc. all live side by side in the humi with no ill effects noted.

I smoked an "Acid"....once....about a five drags. That nasty sucker hit the ash tray for good at that point. Man....not for me. As mentioned, keep those nasty, er, "flavored" sticks out of your humi and you should be fine.... :p

I wouldn't even keep flavored cigars in the same humidor simply due to the aroma. :)
