I'll have to call Surdyk's to check, but I know for sure Stogies on Grand has them, and coincidentally, I'm heading up to the cities today to get my car serviced!

Now to find and commit to memory the msrp for the cigars I want, to be sure I'm getting ripped!

And they're going fast! I was just there, they have a 2 per person of each size limit, and they don't expect them to last much more of tomorrow!

The prices are actually msrp, plus whatever taxes we pay. Be quick! They'll be gone tomorrow!

Could be nice and pick me up some!!! :whistling:

I'm sure a lot of us would like to get some of these :p

i got like 10 in hiding. maybe just maybe one might slip and fall into a certain package. :whistling:

I've got some put up for a rainy day, just wish I had more.

Seems like they are slowly making their way across the country. I'd keep tabs on your local shop (if they carry them ever) to be sure about when they get them in. If the shop I went to wasn't 80 miles away, I'd be back to get more. And if I hadn't blown my cigar budget for the next 6 months on a couple other things recently, I'd go get more. As it was I picked up 7 and spent over $90.00. And unfortunately the wife doesn't understand how infrequently these are around.

But the ones I have, coupled with a handful of other high end smokes should more than last me through x-mas season when they are around again.

And as a bonus, I was able to grab an empty Padron 1964 box and and empty Padron 1926 box to keep all my really good cigars in, separated from all of the regulars in the coolidor.

They've got at least a couple hundred empty boxes of all kinds sitting in a pile there! They do charge $2-$5 for them though. (my padron boxes were $2!)

And another thing, the guy working was saying that (per Fuente) they are not allowed to sell, raffle off, or give away the empty Opus X boxes! So what do they do with them!

??? That's odd, I never heard that before. I wonder if they have to send them back to be reused?

EDIT: Or, is that an anti-counterfeit measure...

They have to keep the varnished Opus boxes to put them in because Opus X are now shipped in semi-plain cab boxes. Atleast this is what I've heard.

:0 Not in my experience. Just watched my local guy open up a brand new varnished box in front of me last week. ???

He said it was an anti-counterfeit thing. Of course I walked right over to a room full of empty boxes and picked up a 1964 and a 1926 box to bring home! And those cigars are about as likely to get counterfeited as well!

So the question is, what do they do with them!

Just the Opus X. And by this time I'd call ahead to see if they've got any left. I would imagine if there are any other stores in the cities that would carry them, they'd have theirs too.

That's alright, I picked up a couple of OpusX during a trip to Boston last weekend (at LJ Peretti, but they didn't have any Anejos either).

I was told by quite a few of the local tobacco shops that Anejo's will not be shipped until Christmas. ??? That's the usual ship time I guess...I have read that some guys expect Anejo with this Opus X shipment...but all the guys here have never gotten a mid year shipment of Anejo. Just my little depressing piece of knowledge.
