Since the original thread got deleted due to the server issues, I just wanted to make sure everyone got the samples for the review. Keep in mind this is a full body cigar and this is the first batch of samples, also it will be priced as a everyday cigar. i actually just opened a few bundles and grabbed random sizes and such, some may have gotten the same sizes but I tried to just grab and not inspect the cigars.

Everyone may need to let them sit if they are still wet from the water pillow and such.

Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano
Binder:Nicaragua
Filler:Nicaragua

current sizes

6 x 60 gordo
6 x 52 torpedo
7 x 48 churchill
6 x 50 Toro
5 1/4 x 44 corona
5 x 50 robusto

oh yeah I have samples from another factory in Nicaragua coming that is a Maduro cigar I have been tweaking so it iwll be next on the block. This one will be from a brand new cigar company and we just did the deal to be the U.S. distributor so it should be good. i have pictures of the cigars i may post later. man they look good.

yeah the samples were already sent out, and they are being dry boxed by the tasters. sorry

This one has me really excited. I hope it's great. I can't wait to see the reviews and for these to be available.

So here's my review on the Robusto that Kevin sent me:

Construction: Well constructed with a nice smooth wrapper

Pre-Light Draw was earthy with a drop of spice, not too much.

During the 1st inch of the cigar, I noticed a hint of cocoa and earthy undertones. This flavor stayed constant throughout. There was a slight uneven burn at first, but the cigar corrected itself way before getting half way down. It had a nice, firm ash throughout the smoke. I ashed 3 times, but I probably forced it. Definitely didn't have to. The cigar burned well until about half way down. I started to pick up more spice after about the half way point, and it started to become bitter a little too early, but I purged the cigar a couple times and the bitterness went away. Nice medium-bodied smoke that reminded me of a Padron natural. I think this would be a better tasting cigar with a little more time on it, and I could see this as a solid $4 smoke. I've smoked way too many $4 smokes that didn't even merit the $4 price tag. Hope this review helps, Kevin. As you said, any honest review is a good review.

Will let you know once I get to the 2nd one. Thanks again!

I haven't received my cigars yet... or that free box of ~hl~ you said you'd send... thread must of gotten deleted... :whistling: :whistling:

:sign:

lol John, you know i will send you one when they are ready. now the box of hl i cant send you that without payment, but who knows you might just get a little extra on the next order :)

Oh and thanks Israel, for doing the review and being honest about it. Yes the cigars are a little young but I believe with a little more age they will be excellent especially at the msrp they will sell at. the robusto will be around $3.50 hell the most expensive will be $4.00 (6x60), they will be banded and in bundles. I was going to put them in boxes but hey all that adds up.

ok ok, i have had a ton of requests so maybe next week i will send out a few more for people to try. i will have to check and see what are left of the samples.

damn mooches... should be ashamed of themselves... you uh... you got me on that list, though, right?? :whistling:

:sign: Just kiddin' bro. Send 'em to other folks - I can't do any reviews over here. I'll order some when they come out. :)

Hey Mick,

gonna post another thread or just have everyone post on this one? does not matter to me but I believe some more people have reviews ready. Still waiting on some pictures in those reviews :) hope everyone liked them.
