The second annual JMS Memorial Herf will be Saturday August 4 2007. We will again host the JMS Memorial Herf in beautiful Indian Foothills Park at North Point Shelter in Marshall, MO. Silent autions and door prizes continue to arrive daily and will again provide lots variety. Food and drinks will be included.
The Marshall Mafia held it's first annual JMS Memorial Herf on Saturday, July 29, 2006. A crowd of 47 people assembled to socialize, smoke a few cigars, honor the memory of Jared Stubblefield and help the Stubblefield family raise money for this worthy cause. This first year's event raised $3,400.00 dollars (after expenses) -- a great start for a great event!!!
Jared M Stubblefield was a pilot and (like his father) a fan of a good cigar. He left this earth prematurely when he died following an automobile accident near his home on Monday morning, June 2, 2003.
He had just completed his freshman year at Kansas State University in the College of Technology and Aviation, on the Salina campus. He was majoring in airway science-professional pilot and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
In loving memory of Jared, multiple Scholarships have been formed to support future students who want to become pilots. Contributions to the Jared M Stubblefield Memorial Scholarship fund can be made throughout the year. Contributions can be submitted to:
Jared M. Stubblefield Scholarship
C/O Jeff Stubblefield
1820 S. Linn
Marshall, MO 65340
If you have any questions please PM me.
Thanks for looking and hoping to see you in August!!
